Chester County Pup Wins at National Dog Show
A pint-sized pup from Chester County, Pennsylvania, triumphed as the Best in Show at the 2023 National Dog Show. Competing against nearly 2,000 dogs across 199 breeds, the Sealyham Terrier named Stache secured the prestigious title.
Stache’s Victory Journey
Guided by handler and owner Margery Good of Goodspice Kennels, Stache has previously won the Montgomery County Kennel Club Terrier Show. The Sealyham Terrier is the No. 2-ranked Terrier and No. 12-ranked All-Breed show dog in the country. The Kennel’s Facebook post proudly announced Stache’s 49th Best in Show victory at the National Dog Show.

- Terrier: Stache, a Sealyham Terrier from Cochranville, Pennsylvania.
- Non-Sporting: Pumpkin, a Dalmatian from East Brunswick, New Jersey.
- Sporting: “M,” a Chesapeake Bay Retriever from Alexandria, Ohio.
- Working: “Yaro,” an Azawakh from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
- Herding: “Heathcliff,” a German Shepherd Dog from Jasper, Georgia.
- Toy: “Comet,” a Shih Tzu from Monclova, Ohio.
In the 2022 National Dog Show, a French Bulldog named Winston won the Best in Show title.
