If you’re a fan of Philadelphia hoagies, you might be pleased to learn that some of the best hoagies can be found in Southeastern Pennsylvania. In fact, two of the most delectable hoagies come from Chester County, according to Jen O’Mara for The Keystone News.
Best Hoagies in Phoenixville and West Chester
Phoenixville’s Bob’s Haven Deli and West Chester’s Lorenzo’s Steaks on the East Side are both top-rated for their unique and tasty hoagies.
Bob’s Haven Deli: Home of the “Zep”
Bob’s Haven Deli has been serving up their unique “zep” hoagies for over 60 years. A “zep” consists of a long roll filled with one type of meat, one type of cheese, onions, tomatoes, and a sprinkle of salt, pepper, and oregano. Simple, yet scrumptious.
Lorenzo’s Steaks on the East Side: Classic Hoagies with a Twist
At Lorenzo’s Steaks on the East Side, they keep it classic with their hoagies. Despite their extensive menu, which includes breakfast dishes, wings, and cheesesteaks, The Keystone News particularly enjoys their Nigerian option – a hoagie loaded with American cheese, roast beef, turkey, tomato, lettuce, and onions.
The shop is a family legacy, with current owner Christos Moscharis, a West Chester native, taking over from his father.
