Did you know Pennsylvania boasts three counties among the top 150 places in the US to live off the grid?

A study by Business Electric identified the “top rated off-grid living locations,” and included Potter, Cameron, and Tioga counties from the Keystone state. Potter and Tioga, bordering New York, are neighboring counties in northern Pennsylvania, while Cameron County is situated to the southwest of Potter County.

In the off-grid living ranking, Potter County secured 63rd place, Cameron County 68th, and Tioga County 79th. The ranking was obtained after surveying 3,000 Americans online by Business Electric.

Best Off-Grid Living Locations in the US

If you’re wondering where the best off-grid living locations in the US are, then the top spot goes to Wasco County in Oregon. It’s followed by Hot Springs County in Wyoming (No. 2), Meriwether County in Georgia (No. 3), and Bienville Parish in Louisiana (No. 4).

Top Off-Grid Living Spots in West Virginia

As for West Virginia, Pocahontas County leads the pack, listed at No. 28 overall. Hardy County (No. 61), Tucker County (No. 92), and Randolph County (No. 150) also made it to the coveted list.
