Progressive Change Campaign Committee Backs Talarico in Texas Senate Race

The Progressive Change Campaign Committee (PCCC), a Washington D.C.-based advocacy group, is endorsing James Talarico over Jasmine Crockett in the feisty Democratic Senate primary in Texas.

PCCC co-founder Adam Green plans to actively raise funds for Talarico and provide a on-the-ground staff in Texas to support him in the March 3 primary.

Green praised Talarico, describing him as a rising national figure who boasts a bold economic populism. Green also criticized Crockett, stating that she has not shown a robust commitment to economic matters.

Contrary to the conventional left-versus-moderate dichotomy, Green portrayed Talarico as an economic populist champion advocating for workers. The PCCC conducted a poll among their Texas members prior to the endorsement, which showed Talarico as the preferred choice over Crockett.

Green further criticizes Crockett for her statement on CNN stating that it is “not the goal” to convert Trump voters for the general election. According to Green, any economic populist would aim to appeal to independent and Republican voters.

Talarico’s campaign hasn’t commented on the endorsement yet.
