Managed Care Professionals Converge for AMCP Nexus 2025

A group of over 3,000 managed care professionals is set to gather next week in National Harbor, Maryland for the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) Nexus 2025 conference. The highly anticipated event will serve as a platform for discussions on the future of US pharmacy and health care.

A variety of attendees from academic institutions, government agencies, health plans and more will convene at Gaylord National Harbor from October 27 to 30. They will study the impact of the Inflation Reduction Act and the One Big Beautiful Bill on drug pricing, access, and reimbursement. Other points on the agenda include value-based care, formulary development, biosimilars, artificial intelligence (AI)–driven innovation, and real-world evidence.

Education Sessions and Networking Opportunities

The conference will run over 30 continuing education (CE)–accredited sessions, spotlight theaters featuring expert-led discussions, and more than 400 poster presentations. One of the highlights is a reimagined “fundamentals” series designed to offer attendees essential insights into key industry topics. Furthermore, a real-world evidence track has been organised for professionals seeking practical strategies and regulatory guidance.

Paul Ryan, Former Speaker of the House, will be the keynote speaker at the general session on Tuesday, October 28. He will also reflect on the first year of President Trump’s second term, discuss strategies for collaboration despite disagreements, and weigh in on specific managed care policy and legislative issues relevant to attendees.

Ahead of the conference, the inaugural AMCP Pharmacy Policy Summit will take place on October 27. The summit is expected to bring together leading health policy experts to explore solutions to the most pressing challenges facing pharmacy, particularly managed care pharmacy.
