They were joined by North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper and the state’s Health and Human Services Secretary Kody Kinsley at Advance Community Health in Raleigh for a roundtable discussion and a walkthrough of the facility’s various units. Another discussion was held at the Garner Senior Center to further discuss the impact of the Inflation Reduction Act on healthcare coverage and drug costs.

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra visited North Carolina’s 13th Congressional District with Congressman Wiley Nickel. They explored topics such as maternal health, Medicaid expansion, and the anticipated benefits of the Inflation Reduction Act on health care coverage and prescription drug costs.

Joining them for roundtable discussions at the Advance Community Health in Raleigh were North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper and North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kody Kinsley. The focus of these discussions was Medicaid expansion and maternal health. They later toured Advance Community Health’s units for OBGYN, primary care, pediatrics, pharmacy, and dental care.

Later, Secretary Becerra and Congressman Nickel met with North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kody Kinsley at Garner Senior Center. The roundtable discussion revolved around the impact of the Inflation Reduction Act on increasing health care coverage and reducing prescription drug costs.
