They explored topics such as maternal health, Medicaid expansion, and the anticipated benefits of the Inflation Reduction Act on health care coverage and prescription drug costs.
Joining them for roundtable discussions at the Advance Community Health in Raleigh were North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper and North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kody Kinsley. The focus of these discussions was Medicaid expansion and maternal health. They later toured Advance Community Health’s units for OBGYN, primary care, pediatrics, pharmacy, and dental care.
