The deceased man was found on the scene with an apparent gunshot wound. Two others, seriously injured, were hospitalized. A woman was also hurt during the incident but not shot and is now in stable condition.

Several people were temporarily detained after the shooting but were later released without charge after questioning.

Colorado Springs Police urged anyone with information about the incident to contact them at (719) 444-7000. They stated that this incident will not affect the scheduled reopening of The Citadel Mall on Tuesday.
