A Dover family, identified as Rakesh Kamal, 57, Teena Kamal, 54, and their daughter Arianna Kamal, 18, were found dead in their home on Wilson’s Way. The authorities received a 911 call from a relative who discovered one of the deceased, prompting the police to investigate the scene where they found a gun near the husband. Dover Family Tragedy: Police Investigation Underway
On Thursday night, a Dover family consisting of a father, mother, and their teenage daughter were found dead in their residence. Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey’s office has identified the deceased as Rakesh Kamal, 57, Teena Kamal, 54, and Arianna Kamal, 18.
A 911 call led Dover Polices to their residence at 8 Wilson’s Way following a family member’s horrific discovery. The investigation is in its preliminary stages, but the authorities believe it to be a case of domestic violence. There is no perceived ongoing danger to the Dover community.
Inside the property, a weapon was found, but Morrissey didn’t confirm if it was a murder-suicide case. The Kamal family, with relatives locally and internationally, lived in a massive 19,000-square-foot estate as listed on Redfin, a real estate site.
Morrissey emphasized, “This is an event to remember that domestic violence crosses all economic and social situations.” The investigation continues with autopsies likely to be completed by Friday afternoon. The last recorded homicide in Dover was in 2020.
For those dealing with domestic violence, the state operates the Massachusetts SafeLink hotline: 877-785-2020, and a crisis hotline: 988.
