Ronin Theatre Company will be bringing William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” to downtown Phoenix this December. The play, which derives its name from the 12th night after Christmas, serves as a festive backdrop for a tale rife with mistaken identities and hidden motives.
Schedule and Venue
The performance will take place from Wednesday, Dec. 13 through Sunday, Dec. 17, at the Irish Cultural Center Courtyard, 1106 N. Central Ave. The schedule includes two matinees and four evening shows.
The Plot and Cast
Described by Ronin co-founder and director, Cody Goulder, as a “celebration of love’s folly and holiday spirit”, the play follows Viola, who, after being separated from her twin brother in a shipwreck, disguises herself as a man to secure a job with Duke Orsino. This leads to a comedic love triangle involving Orsino, Viola, and Olivia. The cast includes Melody Knudson, Marshall Glass, Katherine Stewart, and more.
