MARQUETTE, Mich. – The stage is set for Marquette’s annual Christmas parade and tree lighting. This grand event promises fresh elements delighting spectators with 25 diverse floats, starting at the Superior Dome, culminating at Marquette Commons where Santa will illuminate the Christmas tree.
Marquette Post Office will be present to accept Santa letters. The Marquette DDA reveals that attendees will experience unique surprises this year.
\”Our event features an eight-piece band, 41 West, performing classic Christmas jingles, from ‘Here Comes Santa Claus’ to ‘Frosty the Snowman.’ New Attitudes Dance Studio will showcase routines by their students,” informed Michael Bradford, Marquette DDA business outreach and promotions director.
The parade will take place this Friday from 6 to 7 p.m., immediately followed by the tree lighting ceremony.
