Kari Lake Calls Out Biden, Gallego’s ‘Bad Ideas’, Advocates for Trump

TL/DR –

U.S. Senate candidate Kari Lake criticized the Biden administration’s handling of the border crisis and economy at the Republican National Convention. She accused her Democratic rival, Ruben Gallego, of enabling these issues and supporting policies that allow illegal immigrants to vote. Lake, who is backed by former President Donald Trump, is vying for the GOP nomination and the seat currently held by retiring U.S. Sen. Kyrsten Sinema.

Kari Lake Urges Voters to End “Bidenvasion” and “Bidenomics”

U.S. Senate candidate Kari Lake has urged voters to put an end to the “Bidenvasion” at the border and “Bidenomics” that she claims is supported by her Democratic rival, Ruben Gallego. At the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Lake pushed for former President Donald Trump’s return to the White House to reverse what she considers a national decline.

Lake characterized herself as a “mama bear” and Gallego as a staunch supporter of President Joe Biden. The Senate candidate from Arizona critiqued Gallego for supporting a bill that would allow millions of illegal immigrants to vote in the upcoming election, a claim which was subsequently labeled as a “significant false claim” by a CNN fact-checker.

The former newscaster criticized Democrats for handing control of Arizona’s border to drug cartels, resulting in an influx of criminals and deadly drugs. Lake distorted a Republican-led bill that passed the U.S. House of Representatives, putting Democrats on the spot about voter eligibility and the threat of illegal immigration.

The Arizona GOP nominee started her Senate campaign with Trump’s endorsement and has since gained the support of most Republican senators, including the National Republican Senatorial Committee. She is running against Pinal County’s Mark Lamb for the nomination.

All candidates are vying for the seat of the retiring U.S. Senator Kyrsten Sinema. Gallego and Lake have been engaging in a social media debate over the proof-of-citizenship bill, with Gallego stating the bill is intended to disenfranchise Arizonans instead of preventing illegal immigrants from voting.

Lake’s comments on the border crisis and drug issues resonated with GOP convention delegates. Her call for a border wall elicited chants of “Build A Wall” at the convention. She expressed concern over the fentanyl crisis, stating, “The Grand Canyon State has become the fentanyl state, and it’s not OK with this mom.”

She proposed a simple solution to America’s problems: build the border wall favored by Trump and replace “Bidenomics” with “MAGAnomics.” She also criticized the alleged indoctrination in schools and the “psychological abuse” inflicted on children.

Lake’s remarks were part of a group of speeches by Republican Senate candidates, including West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice and Virginia’s GOP nominee Hung Cao. The Gallego campaign, on the other hand, released a digital ad focusing on Lake’s election denialism ahead of her speech.
