H.J. Larson and Sons Announces Property Sale

H.J. Larson and Sons has confirmed the transfer of their Ramada Inn property to MQT Collection6, LLC, an affiliate of the Base Hospitality Group. This transaction took effect on Tuesday.

The Ramada Inn was built on the original site of the Downtowner Hotel, which was a creation of Harlan J. Larson in downtown Marquette in 1961.

According to a news release, H.J. Larson and Sons are hopeful that the new owners will carry on the establishment’s 63-year tradition of delivering excellent hospitality. MQT Collection6, LLC, now the official owners, plans to maintain most of the current Ramada Inn staff.

Meanwhile, H.J. Larson and Sons will hold on to their other properties, the Holiday Inn and the Hampton Inn, both located in Marquette.

The Holiday Inn recently received a complete makeover. On the other hand, the award-winning Hampton Inn is in line for future renovations and enhancements to uphold its status as one of Marquette’s top hotels.
