Newsweek recognized the top 1,200 nursing homes out of more than 15,000 Medicare- or Medicaid-certified facilities nationwide. The ranking factors included performance data, peer recommendations, resident satisfaction, and vaccination rates.

The Massachusetts nursing homes ranked in the medium-size category include facilities with 100 to 149 certified beds. Among them, one serves as a Continuing Care Retirement Community, offering all necessary services under one roof even as residents’ health needs change.
