Two toddlers tragically lost their lives after being discovered in a pool at a Phoenix home on Thursday afternoon. First responders arrived swiftly, within three minutes of receiving a distress call about a toddler found in a pool near Lower Buckeye Road and 63rd Avenue, only to find two toddlers needing immediate medical attention.

The toddlers were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, where they later succumbed to their injuries. The victims have been identified as three-year-old twin sisters, as per their uncle’s statement.

The twins’ father made the distress call to 9-1-1. Phoenix Fire Capt. Rob McDade mentioned the father’s attempt at administering CPR to both children, highlighting the emotional hardship endured by the family.

As reported by Children’s Safety Zone, this incident adds to the grim tally of 15 water-related deaths in Maricopa and Pinal counties this year. Capt. McDade stressed the silent nature of drownings, emphasizing the need for constant supervision of children around pools.
