The Roll N’ Out Food Truck Fest, featuring over 35 unique food trucks, marked the start of the food truck season in West Michigan. Located on Ottawa Avenue, the festival was organized by the Grand Rapids Food Truck Association and featured diverse cuisines including pizza, barbecue, tacos, crepes, cookies, and grilled cheese.

In addition to the spectacular food trucks lineup, the festival integrated a merchant village at Calder Plaza, comprising more than 20 vendors, a beer tent, and live music that added to the festive atmosphere. Rock Dandeneau, the treasurer of the Grand Rapids Food Truck Association and owner of the Pressed in Time food truck, expressed his joy to witness the festival’s growth year on year.

“This festival aids our small businesses in kicking off their season. The idea is to roll out these food trucks and let the people experience new flavors,” stated Dandeneau.

Anthony Saladino, manager of the family-run Saladino Smoke food truck, shared his excitement about participating in the festival. They were geared up to serve fresh brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and more. “It’s an excellent opportunity to support local businesses, whether it’s my truck or someone else’s,” remarked Saladino.

For those interested in experiencing the gastronomical extravaganza, the festival continues until 8 p.m.
