Jeffery Brewer, 41, was apprehended late Friday night. He reportedly entered the victim’s room at Saxon Residential Suites on De Neve Drive early Friday morning, allegedly assaulting her while she was in bed.

Brewer then fled in an unknown direction. The victim received medical attention at the scene, stated the UCLA Police Department.

After a day-long search, detectives located Brewer and made the arrest. The victim and two witnesses subsequently positively identified him, the police statement confirmed.

Brewer faces charges, including assault with intent to commit a felony, false imprisonment, burglary, and forcible sexual penetration. He is currently held at the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department Inmate Reception Center, with his bail exceeding $1 million.
