Raleigh Manhunt Underway Following Stabbing Incident

A downtown Raleigh manhunt is currently ongoing after a male victim was stabbed in the chest, as reported by Raleigh police.

The incident took place just before 12:30 p.m. at 214 South Blount St., near Moore Square. In response, police closed South Blount Street while investigations continue.

The victim, found with a severe stab wound in his upper chest, lost substantial blood, police reported.

The victim was conscious while being transported to WakeMed for treatment and went into surgery around 3:30 p.m.

Surveillance footage and a credible witness’s account enabled police to release a description of the suspect.
