VA Announces Lease for New Outpatient Clinic in Cheshire County, N.H.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has revealed a significant milestone towards expanding veterans’ access to premium health care with the signing of a PACT Act lease for a new Outpatient Clinic (OPC) in Cheshire County, N.H., benefitting the White River Junction, VT, region. The move will increase clinical capacity and ensure more immediate access to VA care for veterans.
Construction of the new facility is anticipated to be completed by fall 2028. The first patient is expected to benefit from the facility’s services by spring 2029. The new OPC will be an energy-efficient facility, right-sizing Primary Care space. It aims to deliver integrated Primary Care, Mental Health, Specialty Care, and Ancillary services, significantly improving operational efficiency and the Veterans’ experience.
The state-of-the-art facility will provide 26,603 net usable square feet (NUSF) of replacement outpatient clinic space in West Chesterfield, NH. It will also include 150 parking spaces for the convenience of Veterans and their families. These upgrades cater to the needs of the White River Junction VA Healthcare System, enhancing the support provided to Veterans in the Keene, NH, and Brattleboro, VT, area.
Phillip Christy, the principal executive director of the Office of Acquisition, Logistics, and Construction, reaffirmed VA’s mission to provide world-class health care to Veterans. He stated, “This new leased facility will significantly enhance access, expand capacity, and ensure Veterans receive high-quality care and services.”
