Second Round of Preliminary Award Winners Announced for Miss Wisconsin Competition
The Miss Wisconsin Competition is gearing up for its final contests this weekend in New Berlin. On Thursday night, the competition committee recognized the second round of preliminary award winners for their stunning performances in health and fitness, evening gown, and talent categories.
Miss Capital City and Miss River City Among Preliminary Award Winners
Among the award recipients, Miss Capital City, Jasmine Peck, stood out by receiving honors in both the health and fitness category and the evening gown category. She shared the limelight with Miss River City, Jordenne Butler, and Miss Wood Violet, Evelyn Green, who both tied for the preliminary talent award.
The preliminary winners are set to receive scholarships associated with their respective awards. This is part of the Miss Wisconsin Competition’s commitment to promoting education and community involvement among its contestants.
About the Preliminary Award Winners
Peck, a 22-year-old graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, hails from St. Francis. She is a beacon for foster care support through her community service initiative, “Healing Hearts Together.” Peck was awarded a $200 scholarship for the health and fitness award and a $250 scholarship for the evening gown award.
Green, a 21-year-old senior from Oshkosh, is currently studying nursing at the University of Northern Iowa. She amazed with her baton-twirling routine during the talent phase of the competition. Green’s community service initiative is “You’re Invited: Celebrating Different Abilities through Inclusion.”
Butler, 27, comes from Onalaska and is a proud graduate of Viterbo University. She impressed with her jazz dance routine, earning her a share of the talent award with Green. They were each awarded a $500 scholarship. Butler’s community service initiative is “Building Resilience for Healthy Futures.”
The Road to the Miss Wisconsin 2026 Title
The preliminary events for the 2026 competition concluded with Thursday night’s show, according to Miss Wisconsin organizers. The top 11 candidates will be unveiled on Saturday, June 20, and will compete in onstage phases, including talent, evening gown, and health and fitness. The title of Miss Wisconsin 2026 is at stake.
The crowned Miss Wisconsin 2026 will then advance to the prestigious Miss America Competition in September.
Upcoming Miss Wisconsin Events
Before the final competition, the Miss Wisconsin’s Teen Competition will take place on Friday, June 19, at the West Performing Arts Center in New Berlin. The final showdown for the Miss Wisconsin title will also be held at the same venue on Saturday, June 20. Founded in 1936, the Miss Wisconsin Scholarship Organization is the local affiliate of the Miss America Organization. Its focus is on scholarship support, community service, and leadership development. Notably, three Miss Wisconsin titleholders have gone on to become Miss America: Terry Anne Meeuwsen (1973), Laura Kaeppeler (2012), and Grace Stanke (2023).
