State Sen. Kelda Roys has released her second campaign ad, advocating for lower health care costs and protection against Trump and Tom Tiffany’s health care policies. Roys also announced a $500,000 ad campaign, including a $400,000 focus on Milwaukee broadcasting. Her campaign strategy includes opening up the state health insurance plan for all residents, and working with legislature to offer subsidies to lower-income residents who can’t afford to buy into the state plan or obtain an Affordable Care Act (ACA) plan.
State Senator Kelda Roys Focuses on Health Care in New Ad Campaign
State Sen. Kelda Roys recently unveiled the second ad in her campaign, “Kill Us,” emphasizing her dedication to lowering healthcare costs, enhancing medical care, and shielding Wisconsin citizens from health care attacks by Trump and Tom Tiffany. Central to Roys’ campaign is the plan to open up the state health insurance plan, a move aimed at safeguarding Wisconsin residents from potential Medicaid and ACA cuts in 2027.
Previously, Roys announced a $500,000 statewide ad purchase, which has been running since June 16. Roys is committing $400,000 to the purchase, with a significant emphasis on Milwaukee broadcasts.
Roys’ second ad will feature alongside “Roads,” her first ad, which highlights her history of delivering positive results for Wisconsin residents. Her strategy aims Democratic primary voters statewide based on extensive polling and research to identify Roys’ target audience.
“As governor, my focus will be on the issues everyday Wisconsinites care about – public education, healthcare costs, and economic stability,” Sen. Roys stated. “Following Tom Tiffany and Donald Trump’s debilitating Medicaid cuts, we need a governor who will defend Wisconsinites from these assaults on our health and freedom.”
Roys has fought for over 20 years for Wisconsin to be a place where everyone has the opportunity to flourish. Her past achievements include expanding health care access to 80,000 previously uninsured Wisconsinites, and she is confident of repeating this success in the future.
Roys’ proposed plan of opening the state health plan would allow individuals, businesses, unions, schools, and municipalities to buy into comprehensive plans, thereby lowering costs by expanding the coverage pool, reducing uncompensated care, and aiding rural providers. Furthermore, Roys is committed to working with the legislature to subsidize lower-income Wisconsinites who are not poor enough for Medicaid but cannot afford to buy into the state plan or another ACA plan.
