Glendale Officials Unveil Improved Courthouse

City leaders in Glendale, Arizona celebrated the unveiling of a revamped courthouse on Tuesday. Mayor Jerry Weiers, along with City Council members, Presiding Judge Nicholas C. DiPiazza, and Assistant City Manager Jamsheed Mehta were present at the ribbon-cutting event, marking the completion of upgrades that took a year to complete.

The improvements include two new service windows adhering to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and digital displays compliant with ADA height guidelines. Dividers were set up at the service counters to ensure privacy between residents and clerks, alongside further security enhancements.

Notable changes also included enhancements to the heating and air conditioning systems, and the introduction of a family bathroom. The courtrooms now flaunt new pews and desks as part of the cosmetic additions.

“The renovations reflect our dedication to justice and accessibility,” said Judge DiPiazza in a statement. “These courthouse upgrades are a new chapter in our city’s history, enabling us to continue serving our community with integrity and excellence.”
