“Kari Lake’s Lawsuit Backfires Spectacularly”

18

TL/DR –

Kari Lake and Mark Finchem’s appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, which claimed new evidence meriting a rerun of the 2022 election, has been declined. The pair had been trying for two years to outlaw Dominion vote counting machines, claiming they could theoretically be hacked. However, multiple audits and examinations concluded the equipment was not hacked, and their lawsuit was dismissed as frivolous by courts, which found no evidence to substantiate their claims.

Last month, Kari Lake and Mark Finchem made claims of new evidence that merited a reconsideration of the 2022 election

“This new evidence is the most explosive evidence ever,” their benefactor Mike Lindell promised.

However, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear Lake and Finchem’s appeal on Monday.

Two years of false allegations presented to the courts

Their quest to ban Dominion vote counting machines due to hacking concerns has ended, but Lake and Finchem continue to mislead Arizona voters.

Lake suggested the Supreme Court was part of the conspiracy to steal votes.

This continues to fuel the MAGA crowd’s anger.

Despite the lack of evidence from their own audit, MAGA continues to claim fraud

Lake, Finchem, and other far-right supporters have spread conspiracy theories about the stolen 2020 election in Arizona, particularly targeting the Dominion Voting System’s machines used in Maricopa County.

However, audits and reviews by IT experts have repeatedly confirmed the machines were not hacked, undermining their claims.

The Cyber Ninja audit, funded and run by Trump supporters, also found no hacking and confirmed Biden’s victory.

Continued doubt-casting on election reliability

Lake and Finchem filed a lawsuit in April 2022, asking a judge to bar machine tabulation of votes in the 2022 election. They claimed the machines could be hacked, despite having no evidence to support this.

Their “frivilous” lawsuit was dismissed by U.S. District Court John J. Tuchi.

Unsurprisingly, the US Supreme Court rejected their claims

The Supreme Court dismissed their appeal, unimpressed by their new evidence, which failed to prove the Dominion machines were hacked.

Despite this, Lake and Finchem requested a “do-over” of the 2022 election and an end to machine tabulation of votes in the US.

Arizona and America deserve a break from their misleading claims

The public has been fed lies about the trustworthiness of elections for three years. Meanwhile, Lake and Finchem are attempting to gain political power by promising to restore “election integrity.”

Unfortunately, their “explosive” evidence only blew up in their faces, with no clear plan to repair the damage done to public trust.
