MSU College of Human Medicine Students Celebrate Match Day
Match Day was recently celebrated by MSU College of Human Medicine students in Flint, an event where they discovered their residency training locations. Approximately 50 students eagerly opened their envelopes, joining medical students nationwide in this annual tradition held on the third Friday of March.
New Flint McLaren resident and MSU College of Human Medicine student, Shatomi Kerbawy, shared her perspective, stating, “Having a family has given me a greater sense of empathy for my patients…It’s important to be attentive, listen to their stories, and understand what else they are going through in addition to what they might come to the hospital for.”
Each residency lasts from three to seven years, providing significant experience for these future doctors.
