The Negaunee #1944 Eagles Club celebrated their season close with a Mother’s Day dinner and a generous donation to a local cause.

Each year, the Auxiliary and Aerie presidents work diligently to raise funds for selected charity organizations.

The chosen recipient this year was the Great Lakes Recovery Center’s (GLRC) LIVE West Suicide Prevention program, a vital community resource.

Shae Kangas, Madame Auxiliary President of the Negaunee Aerie #1944 Eagles Club, disclosed approximately 350 members contribute to the fundraising efforts annually.

“The club is thrilled and grateful to present the GLRC with a check for $5,500,” said Kangas. “Our club’s mission is to give back, so we fundraise year-round to support the local community.”
