A man is currently in custody after he reportedly bit and punched three police officers in downtown Phoenix on a recent Saturday morning.

The incident, which unfolded around 10 a.m., resulted in the arrest of a single individual. The scene of the act was near 1st Street and Fillmore Street in Phoenix, with the suspect identified as Bobby Freeman, age 20.

Per a release, police saw Freeman attempting to stab an unidentified individual. He then fled the scene. When found by the police, Freeman refused to comply with surrender commands. Consequently, he started hitting and biting the officers, one of whom was female.
