At Last, Pennsylvania is Receiving Beautiful License Plates

Josh Shapiro: Stellar Pennsylvania Governor and Designer of the New PA License Plates

I’ve been a fervent supporter of influential Pennsylvania governor, Josh Shapiro, since his tenure as our state’s attorney general. His actions during the 2020 election, when Trump initiated unsubstantiated legal challenges in Pennsylvania, were simply commendable.

PA License Plate Revamp: Shapiro’s Latest Achievement

As of this week, Shapiro might just be my top-ranking politician nationwide. He achieved what I deemed impossible: the transformation of Pennsylvania’s previously unappealing license plates into a significantly improved new design.

Good typography, attractive colors, and a new slogan and icon symbolize Pennsylvania’s unique status as the birthplace of the longest-standing democracy in history: the iconic Liberty Bell.

Next Step in PA’s Visual Identity Overhaul

With the license plate revamp success, the next task should be to apply this same design language to our less-than-stellar driver’s licenses.
