A fire broke out on Monday, causing significant damage to two storage buildings at the Marquette County Road Commission in Republic, Michigan. One of the buildings was home to the leftover salt supply from the previous year while the other one was vacant.
Marquette County Road Commission Foreman, Ross Olson, confirmed that a substantial amount of around 400 tons of the salt stockpile was destroyed in the fire.
