GE HealthCare Announces Strategic Evolution to Drive Growth

GE HealthCare has unveiled a strategic plan aimed at accelerating growth by enhancing global patient and customer service. This includes operational changes and executive restructuring effective immediately, designed to boost innovation and create efficiencies.

Phil Rackliffe is the new President and CEO of Advanced Imaging Solutions (AIS), a $14.6 billion segment formed by merging Imaging and Advanced Visualization Solutions (AVS). The AIS will foster a connected end-to-end imaging ecosystem for diagnosis, intervention, and follow-up across different disease states. It comprises an AI-enabled portfolio of diverse imaging solutions designed to enhance workflows and facilitate real-time procedural support. The Pharmaceutical Diagnostics (PDx) and Patient Care Solutions (PCS) will operate as separate segments.

Catherine Estrampes is appointed as Chief Commercial and Growth Officer for GE HealthCare, leading Global Markets, excluding China. In this role, she will oversee the company’s commercial operations and facilitate scaling of expertise across markets, thereby bringing a more comprehensive portfolio to global customers.

Both Estrampes and Rackliffe bring decades of experience in medical technology and will work to streamline the organization, expand the company’s D3 strategy, and aid in delivering precision care worldwide. These changes are expected to enhance growth and margin acceleration in 2026 and beyond.

Meanwhile, Roland Rott, former President and CEO of Imaging, is leaving GE HealthCare to pursue new opportunities. He made significant contributions in leading strategic acquisitions such as Caption Health, icometrix, and BK Medical, enhancing GE HealthCare’s ultrasound capabilities.

Elie Chaillot, previously in charge of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will now focus on high-priority initiatives and special projects for the company.

GE HealthCare will provide updated financial results reflecting the new segment structure in its filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for Q2 2026.
