Abbas Grateful to Türkiye for Support and Humanitarian Assistance to Palestine

Abbas endorsed the recent tripartite defense agreement amongst Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, deeming it a potential boon for regional stability, Muslim countries’ interests, and security.
He asserted that a fair peace can only be realized through occupation cessation and by establishing an autonomous Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as the capital, aligned with international law and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Abbas acknowledged a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, brought about by Türkiye, Egypt, Qatar, and the U.S. Despite this, he noted the shortfall in humanitarian aid in Gaza and advocated for reconstruction and the return of the legitimate Palestinian authority to Gaza.
“Gaza is an inseparable part of the State of Palestine,” he declared, stressing that a Palestinian state cannot exist without Gaza.
Abbas highlighted the financial woes of the Palestinian Authority, alleging Israel’s withholding of approximately $6.5 billion in Palestinian funds, impairing the government’s ability to pay wages and manage expenses in Gaza.
