The 8-foot statue was erected on 10 September to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Kirk’s killing. Kirk, a crucial ally of Donald Trump, was fatally shot at a Turning Point USA event in Utah.
A Utah judge recently ruled that Kirk’s alleged shooter must face a trial for aggravated murder. This felony charge carries the possibility of a death penalty if convicted.
