Attendees could sample snacks from the Marquette Food Co-op, appreciate artwork from Zero Degrees Gallery, and purchase merchandise from Drifa Brewing Company.
The event also featured used books from the ReadUP Bookmobile, rock climbing information from the Marquette Climbing Co-op, and a chance to buy tickets and merchandise for the upcoming Hiawatha Music Festival.
Hiawatha Music Co-op’s event coordinator, Susan Bertram, emphasized the essential role of local businesses in community life. She pointed out that throughout the year, these businesses pour effort into the community and actively volunteer, further illustrating their commitment to giving back.
Bertram articulated the Co-op’s impact, stating, “Hiawatha Music Co-op gives scholarships and supports music for all kids. I believe you’ll find that local businesses truly represent the heart of the community.”
She also announced that Hiawatha Music Festival tickets for the following year could be bought at the current year’s price until December 14.
