Delaware County, Pennsylvania, is home to some of the state’s top elementary schools. Three schools from a single district made it to the state’s top 25 list.
Radnor School District Shines in Pennsylvania’s Top Elementary Schools
The Radnor School District stands out with three of the top 10 elementary schools in Pennsylvania. This impressive achievement is based on a ranking of the state’s top 25 public elementary schools.
Meanwhile, the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District also made the list with one of their schools being among the top 25, according to the Tribune News Service for the Daily Times.
The rankings are compiled by Niche, a leading website specializing in data on schools and colleges nationwide.
Top Elementary Schools in Pennsylvania
The Radnor School District’s Ithan Elementary School in Bryn Mawr clinched the No. 1 spot on the list. The school’s 482 students boast a 77 percent proficiency in math and an 85 percent proficiency in reading.
Also from Radnor School District, Radnor Elementary School in Radnor came in 5th. Its student body of 571 shows a 75 percent proficiency in math and a remarkable 91 percent proficiency in reading.
Securing the 9th spot is Wayne Elementary School in Wayne, also part of Radnor School District. The school’s 542 students have a 66 percent proficiency in math and an 81 percent proficiency in reading.
From the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District, Wallingford Elementary School ranked 25th. Its 552 students demonstrate an 80 percent proficiency in math and an impressive 88 percent proficiency in reading.
