Jersey Mike’s & Best Buddies Unite: A Powerful Partnership
Jersey Mike’s Partners with Best Buddies International to Promote Inclusion and Raise Funds
Jersey Mike’s Subs and Best Buddies International, a renowned nonprofit dedicated to championing equal opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), are teaming up in a bid to bolster funds and increase awareness about the importance of inclusion.
Utilizing the Jersey Mike’s App for Charity
Between October 16-31, Jersey Mike’s customers can contribute to a more inclusive world by supporting Best Buddies directly through the Jersey Mike’s app. Patrons will have the opportunity to either round up their total to the nearest dollar or make a donation of $1, $3, or $5 when finalizing their order.
“From October 16-31, all our locations will be accepting round-up donations for Best Buddies via our mobile app,” shares Caroline Jones, Senior Vice President of Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems, Inc. and daughter of Founder Peter Cancro. “This partnership aims to advocate for inclusion and empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.”
Anthony K. Shriver, Chairman, Founder, and CEO of Best Buddies International, echoes this sentiment. “We’re excited about this collaboration and incredibly thankful for Jersey Mike’s support of individuals with IDD. Their generous contributions and commitment to amplifying our mission will undeniably aid Best Buddies in creating more life-altering friendships, job placements, leadership training, and inclusive living opportunities for our program participants.”
Highlighting the Impact on Best Buddies Participants
In a bid to publicize this initiative, Jersey Mike’s is launching a nationwide ad campaign that spotlights several Best Buddies participants. Among those featured is Best Buddies Ambassador Fran Sheinberg. You can view the advertisement here.
This ad is scheduled to air the week of October 16 during National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), a period dedicated to honoring employees with intellectual disabilities and urging businesses to embrace hiring practices that include this untapped talent pool within their workplace.
