Sheetz from Pennsylvania Named One of the Best Places to Work by Fortune

The Pennsylvania-based family-owned and operated company, Sheetz, has made it to Fortune’s list of best places to work in America. This is the 10th time in the past 11 years that Sheetz has been ranked on Fortune’s list of 100 best companies to work for, achieving the 60th position this year.

Methodology of Fortune’s list

Fortune’s list relies on its ‘Great Place to Work’ survey, which has been gauging employee experiences worldwide for the past 30 years. The survey consists of 60 statements on a five-point scale and two open-ended questions, exploring factors such as the employees’ opinions about their company leaders, feelings of respect, fair payment, pride in their work, and comfort around coworkers.

Sheetz’s corporate culture and benefits

Sheetz CEO and president, Travis Sheetz, emphasizes the company’s commitment to employee satisfaction. He informs, “As a family-owned and operated company, our priority is to ensure our employees know we appreciate and value them.” He continues by saying, “Our team members are the face of our company in every community we serve. They represent what makes this company great and we are committed to offering them sustainable careers built on an inspiring culture and community engagement.”

Sheetz announced that it is currently seeking to employ 2,220 individuals and has recently held recruitment events at all its locations. The company prides itself on offering a competitive pay and benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, vacation time, and 12 weeks of paid maternity leave.
