Doylestown Hospital: Ranked Among the Best Pennsylvania Hospitals and Philadelphia Metro Area Hospitals

Doylestown Hospital, located in Doylestown, PA, has once again secured its position among the best hospitals in Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia Metro Area, according to the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Hospitals rankings.

DH Ambulatory Services: A Leading Urology Ambulatory Service Center

Doylestown Hospital’s DH Physicians Ambulatory Services has also been recognized as one of the top urology outpatient service centers in the country. The U.S. News & World Report ranking placed Doylestown Hospital 8th in the Philadelphia Metro Area and 17th in Pennsylvania.

High Performing Status Achieved in Multiple Health Services

Doylestown Hospital has earned “High Performing” status in numerous health services including colon cancer surgery, heart attack treatment, heart bypass surgery, heart failure treatment, hip and knee replacement, leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma treatments, stroke treatment, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement. The “High Performing” status is a recognition given to hospitals that deliver significantly better care than the national average, as measured by various factors such as patient outcomes.

Being acknowledged with the High Performing recognition is the highest distinction given by the U.S. News & World Report evaluation system.

Outstanding Performance in Urology Outpatient Services

DH Physicians’ Ambulatory Services has been awarded High Performing status in urology outpatient services. They were among just 53 centers nationwide to receive this designation out of the 694 centers evaluated.

The evaluation by U.S. News was based on three years of Medicare data and criteria such as how successfully complications were avoided, ER visits, unplanned hospitalizations, and other undesirable outcomes.
