Examining the Winners and Losers of Trump’s ‘Big Beautiful Bill’
TL/DR –
The U.S. Senate is discussing a “megabill” proposed by President Donald Trump, containing tax cuts, Medicaid reforms, and funding for border security. While the Senate was debating whether to begin the megabill’s debates, Trump was golfing with Republican allies, namely Eric Schmitt, Rand Paul, and Lindsey Graham, as well as CIA Director John Ratcliffe. The bill’s final vote is expected to happen on June 29 or 30, and though Democrats are predicted to vote against it, it is uncertain whether sufficient Republicans will support the Senate’s version of the bill.
The ‘Big Beautiful Bill’: Winners, Losers, and Golf Games

The Senate is set to debate on President Donald Trump‘s megabill as key Republicans met for a golf game with the president.
Trump, CIA Director John Ratcliffe, and GOP senators spent the afternoon at Trump’s Northern Virginia club, before the Senate’s debate on the aptly named ‘Big Beautiful Bill.’
Graham shared a photo of him and Trump online, celebrating their victory on the golf course with the caption “Big Beautiful Bill on the way.”
Schmitt also posted an image with the president, applauding Trump’s performance both on the green and in the upcoming legislative battle.
The debate on the 990-page bill, filled with tax cuts, Medicaid reforms, and border security funding, began on June 28. The vote will take place by June 30, with Democrats expected to vote against it.
The question remains whether enough Republicans will back the Senate’s version which would then transfer it to the House. The president urged Congress to finalize the bill by July 4.
