Russia-Ukraine war: No resolution two weeks post Alaska summit

In President Donald Trump’s longest White House event yet, he suggested Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shares blame for the Russia-Ukraine conflict, not just Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Despite Trump’s unmet deadlines to penalize Putin for rejecting a ceasefire, what concessions has the U.S. claimed post Alaska summit?

Currently, there are no concrete steps for peace talks between Russia and Ukraine, with Trump appearing to view Putin favorably and Zelenskyy with suspicion.

Welker’s questioning of Lavrov revealed Putin’s dismissive attitude towards Zelenskyy, calling him a “de facto leader of the regime” rather than Ukraine’s legitimate leader.
