Today, Philadelphia introduced Philly Stat 360, an innovative website aimed at enhancing the City’s transparency and accountability. It provides a user-friendly dashboard for tracking the City’s performance, in line with Mayor Parker’s commitment to evidence-based governance. The website can be visited at phila.gov/PS360.
“Mayor Parker insists that government should not only be responsive but also actively involve citizens in understanding its operations,” stated Kristin Bray, Chief Counsel to Mayor Parker and the Director of Philly Stat 360. “Philly Stat 360 is a pivotal tool that increases residents’ involvement, augments transparency, and clarifies government functions.”
Mayor Cherelle L. Parker added that Philly Stat 360 aims to exhibit discernable actions that assist citizens at the community level. It identifies areas requiring further investment and measures progress effectively.
Philly Stat 360 records data across 30+ key metrics, ranging from the number of trees planted to the current homicide rate, providing significant insights into the City’s operations.
Philadelphia’s Operational Breakdown
City functions are categorized into five areas in Philly Stat 360 – Safer, Cleaner, Greener, Economic Opportunity, and Core Services. These categories provide regular updates on the City’s progress and strategic initiatives. Clicking on any metric opens a more detailed view, showcasing the data’s calculation and significance. The website was constructed by the Mayor’s Office of Philly Stat 360, in partnership with the Office of Innovation & Technology and the Office of Integrated Data for Evidence and Action (IDEA).
