U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich invited U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm to New Mexico to underscore the impact of the Inflation Reduction Act on manufacturing and clean energy advancement in the state.
The Inflation Reduction Act, ratified in 2022, aids in combating inflation, spurring economic growth, offering quality employment, and decreasing the country’s carbon emissions.
Heinrich and Granholm visited Array Technologies’ Albuquerque plant and initiated the construction of a new $50+ million campus. This investment will provide employment for over 300 New Mexicans in the production and engineering of solar tracking technology.
The duo also inaugurated the first wind towers production at the Arcosa Wind Towers line, a $60 million investment demonstrating a significant economic impact and job creation in New Mexico.
