MoneyHero Announces Interim CFO after Resignation of Current CFO

Danny Leung, the Group Finance Director at MoneyHero Limited, has been named interim CFO, stepping in for outgoing CFO Hao Qian. This change comes as MoneyHero embarks on a formal search process for its next CFO.

The Resignation of Hao Qian

MoneyHero today announced that Hao Qian, the company’s CFO, has decided to step down and return to China for personal reasons. Qian’s resignation will be effective from December 15, 2024.

Danny Leung Steps Up as Interim CFO

In response to this development, the company and its Board of Directors have appointed Danny Leung as interim CFO. Leung, a veteran finance executive with over two decades of experience, is currently serving as the Group Finance Director at MoneyHero.

CEO Rohith Murthy praised Qian’s contributions to the company, mentioning how his efforts have helped position MoneyHero for continued success. He also welcomed the appointment of Leung, stating that it was the right choice during this transitional period.

About Danny Leung

Leung joined MoneyHero in 2024 as the Group Director of Finance. He had previously served as the Senior Financial Controller of Marga Group and Financial Controller with Kontafarma China Holdings Ltd. Leung began his career as an Internal Audit Manager with Lee Kum Kee and Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto and the University of Hong Kong.
