Musk publicly criticized Eberhard, calling him “the worst person I’ve ever worked with.” Eberhard, in turn, initiated a lawsuit against Musk for libel, slander, and breach of contract. This lawsuit led to the settlement that recognized Musk as a Tesla co-founder.
