The Industrial Innovation Team uses scientific and technical expertise to implement President Biden’s Investing in America agenda, designed to revitalize U.S. manufacturing, bolster national security, and enable a clean energy economy for all. The team’s responsibilities include accelerating the deployment of emerging technologies such as clean energy, biomanufacturing, and semiconductors, creating opportunities for all of America to participate in the 21st century economy through initiatives such as the National Science Foundation’s Regional Innovation Engines, and developing analyses, models, and tools to understand, inform, and communicate strategic American technology deployment. The Industrial Innovation team is led by OSTP Deputy Director Justina Gallegos.

The Industrial Innovation Team uses scientific and technical expertise to implement the President’s Investing in America agenda. The Biden-Harris Administration’s investments in the American Rescue Plan, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, CHIPS and Science Act, and Inflation Reduction Act form a forward-thinking American industrial strategy. This leverages advanced and emerging technologies to reinvigorate U.S. manufacturing, enhance national security, and drive a clean energy economy.
