St. Patrick’s Day Festivities in Ann Arbor

Ann Arbor is gearing up for St. Patrick’s Day with the return of the Shamrocks and Shenanigans charity 5K. Approved by the City Council on Jan. 22, the charity event includes street closings for the 5K run/walk.

Scheduled for Sunday, March 10, the event will commence between 9:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., with street closures starting from 8 a.m. The closure will include parts of Main, Madison, Jefferson, First, Washington, and Ashley streets. Check out the map for more details.

The 1K run will start at 9:45 a.m. and the 5K at 10:15 a.m., both starting and concluding outside Conor O’Neill’s Irish pub.

Shamrocks and Shenanigans

The race will commence with a speaker system and streets will reopen as soon as possible, hopefully by 11:30 a.m. The event, a week prior to St. Patrick’s Day, is a fundraiser for Save A Heart, benefiting patients and families at the Michigan Congenital Heart Center at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital.
