DirectRelief also responded promptly to Hurricanes Helene and Milton, providing over $700,000 in financial support and delivering 175 shipments of requested medicines and supplies valued at over $74 million to over 90 healthcare providers. They also expanded their support for off-grid, renewable power systems at community health clinics.

DirectRelief’s efforts in 2024 also reached remote areas with poor infrastructure or affected by violent conflict. Health equity was improved by delivering critical resources to these vulnerable areas.
In Ukraine, DirectRelief provided $42 million in financial aid and delivered 138 shipments of medical supplies, valued at $1.4 billion. In Papua New Guinea, they delivered emergency medical backpacks, an emergency health kit, and other requested medicines and supplies.
They also successfully delivered two shipments of insulin to Haiti and provided over $255 million in requested aid across the Middle East. DirectRelief’s first-ever shipment to Mongolia provided cancer treatments, while in Yemen they delivered medication for breast and gastric cancer.
