Duke Energy Responds to Christmas Day Power Outage in Cary

CARY, N.C. — On Christmas Day, part of Cary experienced a power outage, confirmed by Duke Energy. Duke Energy’s spokesperson, Jeff Brooks, assured ABC11 that their crews are diligently working towards restoring power as soon as possible.

Brooks disclosed that approximately 1,800 customers are currently without power, primarily in the East Chatham St and Walnut St. Greenwood Forest area. Duke Energy anticipates that power will be restored around 1:15 pm, and the cause of the power outages is still under investigation.
