Embezzlement Suspect Arrested After Garner Police Chase

A man suspected of embezzlement was apprehended following a foot chase with Garner Police officers on Wednesday evening. The suspect, identified as Christopher Ray Knight, was receiving treatment at WakeMed Garner for minor injuries sustained during his earlier arrest.

While in the X-ray room, Knight attempted to escape, leading to a police pursuit initiated at approximately 7:26 p.m. Garner Police successfully captured the suspect near a pond on the WakeMed Garner premises at about 7:44 p.m.
