CHESTER COUNTY, Pa. — Upper Providence Township Police report a new possible sighting of escapee Danelo Cavalcante on the 11th day of the manhunt for the convicted murderer. The 34-year-old is believed to have changed his appearance and acquired a vehicle.

Early Sunday, new images were released showing a potential sighting of Cavalcante in East Pikeland Township. Differing from previous images, the suspect is without a beard or mustache.

Upper Providence Township Police: Suspected sighting of Cavalcante on a Ring camera

Pennsylvania State Police confirmed Cavalcante may be traveling in a stolen 2020 Ford Transit van. The van has noticeable damage on the left rear fender and a cooling unit on top. Nationwide law enforcement agencies are on alert.

Due to the sighting, police presence has increased in Upper Providence Township. Authorities urge residents to stay inside and secure their homes and vehicles. A press conference is expected later Sunday.

Following two sightings on Friday in the Longwood Gardens area, this makes at least 10 sightings since Cavalcante’s escape from the Chester County prison last Thursday.

Cavalcante, sentenced to life for the fatal stabbing of his ex-girlfriend, Deborah Brandao, was due for transfer to a state correctional institution. He’s been described as “extremely dangerous” by Chester County prosecutors and has an outstanding warrant for murder in Brazil.

Cavalcante speaks Portuguese and Spanish fluently and some English. A $20,000 reward is offered for information leading to his capture. Officials urge the public to check their surveillance devices and call 911 to report any sightings.
