“Experiencing live comedy is unique. It’s an extraordinary experience, you can’t compare it to anything else. The atmosphere of a well-executed comedy show in a purpose-built comedy room is unparalleled,” Sromalski explained.
The festival kicks off Wednesday night and runs through Saturday evening, hosting shows at two locations: the Ore Dock Brewing Company in Marquette and Barrel and Beam in the Marquette Township. Over the course of the four-day festival, attendees will enjoy nine shows featuring stand-up comedians, improv acts, and a variety show.

According to Sromalski, comedy serves as an excellent means of uniting people. “Creating laughter in a room is a universal sign of agreement. Regardless of personal opinions, if everyone laughs at a joke, they all find it funny in some way,” said Sromalski.
