The Scottsdale Civic Center in Old Town is set to host the Scottsdale Jazz Festival, dubbed as “Arizona’s Most Beautiful Jazz Event”, this week.
Slated to begin at 4 p.m. on Saturday at the Civic Center’s new East Bowl, the festival will present over six hours of music. An impressive lineup of celebrated artists are expected to mesmerize the audience with performances that will take them to the heart of jazz and blues culture.
“This festival is set to be a spectacular celebration of jazz and blues in the heart of Scottsdale, appealing to both staunch jazz enthusiasts and newcomers to this genre,” said Doc Jones, Founder and Executive Director of the International Jazz Day AZ Foundation.
The festival will not only feature music from the birthplace of jazz, but will also offer New Orleans-style food and a new beer tasting experience. Tickets for the tasting start at $16.50 for five tastes.
“The combination of cool lawn, savory food and varied jazz styles make this venue truly special,” declared Scottsdale Mayor David D. Ortega.
