Fatal US-131 Accident: Grand Rapids Woman Succumbs in Roadside Tragedy



A 72-year-old woman from Grand Rapids, Michigan, was hit by a car and killed after she pulled over on the freeway due to a disabled tire. The accident occurred on US-131 North. A woman from Grand Rapids lost her life after being struck by a vehicle on the US-131 North freeway near mile marker 66 between Wayland and Dorr, Michigan State Police reports.

The fatal incident occurred just before 8 p.m. Thursday. Initial investigations indicate the woman, aged 72, experienced tire trouble and pulled over. She was hit and killed as she left her vehicle, standing in the lane of travel.
